Habitat: Very common west Cascades, occasional east Cascades; often in urban and agricultural settings, but also common on hardwoods in the mountains.
Substrate: Bark and wood, usually on hardwoods.
Comments: Most previous reports of Physcia aipolia from the PNW belong to P. aipolia; that species is common elsewhere in N Am.
